This is the Signed unique original Pen & Ink drawing by Neville Colvin.

Featuring Ferdinand Marie, Count de Lesseps GCSI who was a French diplomat and later developer of the Suez Canal, which in 1869 joined the Mediterranean and Red Seas, substantially reducing sailing distances and times between Europe and East Asia.

The original pen and ink drawing for one of a series of illustrations Colvin created to illustrate historical events for a British magazine in 1966. Detailed and extremely accomplished pen, brush and ink work.
