This is the unique original Gouache painting by Bill Lacey.

David Thomson, originally from Dundee was one of many colonists who did not feel that the Colonies should rebel from Great Britain. He aided the British by employing his skills as a shipbuilder on the Loyalist cause. In this painting we see him directing the rebuilding of a bridge wrecked by rebels.
