This is the unique original Mixed Media art by Philip Mendoza.

The Town Mouse and Country Mouse visit the circus. The ringmaster looks on as the tightrope walker struts her stuff. Clowns do their clowning and a typical Mendoza mouse brass band play.

Painted with pen ink and gouache unusually the top half of the painting has been varnished. Published in Once Upon A Time issue 77, 1970. As is the case with all Mendoza's full page paintings for this series, the art covers the entire board.
