This is the Signed unique original Watercolour painting by Paul Rainer.

Who said? "Sir, you have deliberately tasted two whole worms." The Rev. William Archibald Spooner, Warden of New College, Oxford (founded in 1379 by William of Wykeham).

Although Spooner had a distinguished career at New College he is only really remembered today because of his unfortunate habit of transposing the first letters or syllables of two or more words such as "He has just received a blushing crow" instead of "a crushing blow."

From Look and Learn #276 29 April 1967.
